I’m Karl. I live in the UK, write software for a living, and spend far too much time thinking about how things work, whether it’s code, systems or dry eurogames.
I got into programming as a kid, starting with Liberty BASIC and game mods before moving on to the web. Since then, I’ve worked across startups, agencies and large organisations, building everything from internal tools to large-scale web and mobile applications, and more recently, AI-powered systems.
When I’m not working, I tinker with side projects, contribute to open source (mostly around the board gaming space), and occasionally write about what I’m learning. This site is where I collect thoughts, experiments and posts on software, AI and whatever else seems worth exploring.
Have a look around. You might find something useful, or at least mildly interesting.
